Yarn Along: A Study in Textures

Without my stealth project, I don't have much knitting to show!  So... there it is in the bottom righthand corner of the photo.  Anyone want to guess at what it is?  Of course I won't be able to say for some time yet (it's a secret!), but when I do, maybe I'll have a giveaway for the winner.  ; )

The project on the straight needles is a scarf for a little girl.  It's my first custom design -- a good friend requested it and I couldn't turn it down!  I'll share more as the details take shape -- it's going to be a really fun project to show you and offer eventually as a pattern (although I admit it's a little boring to look at now) -- I promise!

The needlefelted pumpkin, leaf and acorns are one of my blogiversary giveaways that are still open -- don't forget to enter for your chance to win them!  Also, my giveaway for my Treasure Pouch pattern and a ball of Knit Picks Simply Cotton Sport and a ball of Knit Picks CotLin is also still open -- there's still time to enter if you haven't already.

The winner of my set of handmade note cards is Bee W Bedard.  Congratulations, Bee!  I'll e-mail you for your mailing address.

I'm only a chapter or two from finishing An Irish Country Village -- finally!  As always, I'm linking up with Ginny of Small Things on Wednesday.

  7. I love all the textures :) It's so much fun that something can start out as not much and yet but made into something beautiful. I can't wait to see the scarf progress.
