100th Post and Giveaway

This marks my 100th post on Creating a Family Home. This blog has been an inspirational space for me to share my thoughts on several different topics, what our home looks like through the seasons and the things we do around here for fun.  Plus seasonal projects and crafts, photos of my sweet little boy and my appreciation of nature.  And knitting.  Lots and lots of knitting.  (For you non-knitting followers, I do apologize for all the knitting.  I know it’s lot.)

I want to say thank you to the people who care enough to read what I have to say, and a special thank you to the ones who leave kind, thoughtful comments.  I enjoy reading each and every one; it feels good to connect with others who share my feelings, experiences and love for our families.

This blog has been like a window into my thoughts, drive to createt and desires; the things I want for myself, my family and our lives the way we live them together as a family.  Thank you for stopping to peer in.

The Giveaway

To celebrate this milestone, I’m giving away a handmade springtime Willow Branch & Forsythia Bloom wreath. Leave a comment below explaining what you love most about spring and I’ll use a random number generator to pick the winner.  Made of fresh willow branches and adorned with spring berries and silk forsythia blooms, this bright, springy wreath measures about 9 inches wide and 10 1/2 inches tall.

But wait—there’s more!  If you become a public follower of Creating a Family Home (or if you’re already following publicly), enter again by submitting another comment saying so to win this needle-felted bird’s nest with real, dried mini chicken eggs dyed pastel colors. The springtime bird’s nest is made of pure, undyed sheep's wool and is 4 inches across.  The smallest egg is just 1 inch from end to end.

Post about it again on Facebook or Twitter and submit a third comment to get a third chance to win!

Both of these items were handmade by me and are the latest additions to my Creating a Family Home Etsy Shop.  Entries close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6.

  3. Congratulations on your 100th post.

I love the fact that every day is different during spring. Every morning you don't quite know what to expect. x

  4. What I enjoy most about spring are the returning birds and wildlife. The geese have been flying overhead for a couple weeks now, the first robin appeared two days ago, and the frogs in the pond just starting singing/chirping again yesterday afternoon!

  7. I love Spring because I get to go on my yearly self-made treasure hunt by walking my yard looking for the crocus and daffodil bulbs I planted in the fall! I'm so easily amused! Congrats on post #100! Love your blog. My sister (Patti Hart Tironi) shared your site with me... I'm glad she did! I loved the socks you made for her! =)
